“Bring the mashed potatoes” recipe

Every year on the holidays I get asked to bring my red garlic mashed potatoes.

Several years ago I came up with this recipe by taste to mimic mashed potatoes I had at a restaurant here in Oklahoma City.

Family and friends love this recipe. It’s one of the only things my grandma would eat before she passed away,

and recently my sons girlfriend wanted them after her knee surgery and the medicines made her stomach queasy.

Comfort food at its finest!
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family does.

•One large bag of washed red potatoes.
•Two garlic cloves
•One 8 ounce package of cream cheese
•One stick of butter or equivalent. My fav is “I can’t believe it’s not butter”
•Mccormicks original steak seasoning
•Sea salt
•1/2 cup -1 cup of half and half or milk.
•green onion **optional**

*my favorite butter, and seasonings.*

•Boil the potatoes and garlic until they are tender. (can easily poke through with a fork).
• drain
• add the potatoes and garlic to a large mixing bowl.
•add Cream cheese and butter and mix with electric mixer until melted. Add seasonings and half-and-half and mix again until smooth and fluffy.

*If you are adding chopped green onions tops add now.

Taste and add seasoning as needed.

Easy easy
